My company just launched http://iCrumz.com, and we believe it is exactly what the world needs now - a real personal productivity booster. It's a free cloud-based Internet bookmarking service. With iCrumz.com all your bookmarks are always available using any browser from any computer, mobile phone or tablet. The iCrumz interface allows you to have 100 or more bookmarks on a single webpage without being cluttered. iCrumz also offers an import function, so you can import and consolidate all your bookmarks from all your browsers on all your devices. Check out our short (1 minute) intro video: http://youtu.be/QDD23whIlrw Contact me if you have any questions. Also, we'd love to hear your feedback. But aesthetically they're kinda ugly, and too many marketers use them incorrectly or don't have their landing pages optimized for mobile devices, or even directed to a specific page for the person scanning. A lot of squandered opportunities. Author Jeffrey Hayzlett came up with an alternative to QR codes for the chapter headings in his book "Running the Gauntlet" (for additional content) because he also thought the codes were ugly. Check out "Snap Tags." First of all are very useful to target those having a smartphone or a tablet with no GPS. It's a very handy tool that can be used in a lot of creative way. It's something I always suggest to my smallbiz client.

Re: Fun with QR Codes!

Did a little investigation into utilization of the apps that read QR codes. Apparently, of those downloaded something less than 20% are used more than a dozen times during the first 30 days and most go dormant after 60 days. That may be more the fault of the apps or how the codes are being implemented than the codes themselves.

Re: Fun with QR Codes!

Thanks Mindy! I was trying to design the colors to coincide with my logo. I've seen lots of examples of really bad implementation. But overall, I think there is a good purpose for them. Just be sure to put them someplace that is not a moving target.

Re: Fun With Infographics!

Really interesting Chris. Couple of things that immediately register is participating in a #tweetchat. The #SWChat is on Thursday night at 10pm (my time in Malta) so you can see where those numbers come from. Also with the chats you generate a huge number of RTs and Mentions from people responding to your answers, comments, etc.so hits those numbers as well.

Thanks so much for sharing this.

Re: Rebranding Tip – Twitter

Thanks Denise!

Re: Rebranding Tip – Twitter

All good things to keep in mind Chris.
